The Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund
A Welcome Message from Rhianna Quinn Roddy, Families of Freedom Executive Director
It is my pleasure to announce the launch of the new Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund website! This new site will provide families with new and updated information about the Fund and the scholarship application process as well as easier navigation to important areas. Registrants and applicants will now be able to get to necessary forms right from the homepage, and we have also made it much simpler for the public to find recent news and to support the Fund.
Among the important tools we have brought front and center is the Estimated Award Calculator. I’d encourage all families to use this tool annually. This tool was created so that families could get an idea of what their future scholarship awards could be, based upon their current financial situation.
We remind all families that our scholarships have always been awarded based on financial need, and even if your child will not be attending college for a good number of years, it’s a good idea to use the Estimated Award Calculator every so often. Keep in mind that a family’s financial situation could change over the years and that’s why its important to use the tool annually as the award level will change along with any changes in your financial situation.
As always, we value feedback from students and families so please feel to tell us how we can make this site ever better – please send your feedback and suggestions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Enjoy the new site!

Keeping Dreams Alive
"The Families of Freedom Scholarship sustains the memories of all those lost or suffering due to 9/11. It is so humbling that donors, who are seemingly strangers, can show such kindness and compassion. Scholarship America gives me strength and hope for a better future."
Register & Apply
The Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund benefits financially needy dependent children, spouses, and domestic partners of 9/11 victims. If you are eligible to receive assistance, you'll need to complete a one-time registration; after that, you will need to submit an application each year.
Use the "Planning Ahead" Estimated Award Calculator to stimate what the family is expected to contribute to the student's college expenses, and the amount that may be awarded to you for the upcoming academic year.
