The Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund is managed by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest private education support organization. Scholarship America has administered the Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund at cost since the inception of the Fund.
Scholarship America is a nonprofit with a mission to mobilize America through scholarships and other educational support to make postsecondary success possible for all. The organization was founded by Dr. Irving Fradkin in 1958 to award local scholarships in his hometown of Fall River, Mass. Today, it works directly with students, parents, colleges, businesses and communities to help students fulfill their college dreams.
Since 1958, Scholarship America has distributed $4 billion to more than 2.4 million students under the guidance of its nonprofit mission “to mobilize America through scholarships and other educational support to make postsecondary success possible for all.” Scholarship America is a Charity Navigator 3-Star Charity, and has an A+ rating from the American Institute of Philanthropy’s CharityWatch.
